Joann, Office ManagerJoann is currently attending Mercyhurst college, as she completes her accounting/ management degree. She has been part of the NWPaPEC staff since July, 2007. She is a member of both the Veterinary Hospital Managers Association and Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Practice Association.
In her spare time, she enjoys reading, scrap-booking, and spending time with her husband and her daughter; Papillon, Maggie; cats, Baby and Hobart; and Millie and Tillie their guinea pigs. |
Kris, Technician, ReceptionistKris has been a part of NWPaPEC team since its inception. She is a graduate of the Great Lakes Institute of Techology and has been working in the veterinary industry since 2000. Her preferred areas of interest within the field are radiology and ultrasound.
However, outside the clinic, Kris enjoys traveling the world and spending time with her family. Kris spends her free-time with her Rottie/Husky mix, Madison and Scooter, her Poodle/Shih Tzu mix. |

Teresa, Technician (Certification Pending), Hospital LiaisonTeresa grew up in Central Illinois, starting out very early with an interest in Veterinary Medicine. She gained important experience in a variety of veterinary clinics prior to attending Illinois State University, earning a Bachelors degree in Agriculture with an emphasis in Animal Science. She joined an emergency facility during college and found it to be a preferred area of interest. She joined us here at NWPaPEC in early 2010 having 13 years prior emergency and 17 years prior day practice experience.
Besides working, Teresa enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 daughters, as well as their domestic shorthair cats, Cajun and Yukon Cornelius and Sphynx, Cheddar. She also enjoys showing, training and spending time with their Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Kundu, Nyea, Shirley and Kin-dah. |
Thelma, TechnicianWith a Bachelors degree from Penn State in Animal BioScience and over 22 years of experience in the field of veterinary medicine, Thelma is an invaluable NWPaPEC team member. Thelma is a member of the Pennsylvania Veterinary Technicians Association. Feline medicine and surgery tops Thelma's interests in the veterinary field.
Outside the clinic, her interests include competing in agility trials with her dogs, bike riding, reading and spending time with her husband, son, daughter and pets: German Shepherd Dogs, Kaylee and Skye; Cats, Zoe, Scooby Doo, George and Eclipse; guinea pig, Clover; their 2 lizards, Drake the bearded dragon and Spike the uromastyx; and their 2 cockatiels. |
