Because of the type of care provide for patients at the Northwest PA Pet Emergency Center, our clients do not have the opportunity to develop a long-term relationship or payment history with us. Therefore, payment is required at the time services are rendered, and a deposit is required for those patients requiring hospitalization. All clients are given an estimate for services. Clients may approve or decline the recommended diagnostic and treatment procedures as desired, and we make every effort to work with our clients within their budget.
NWPAPEC accepts cash, debit card, check (approved by Electronic Funds Transfer, photo ID must be provided), as well as Discover, Visa, and Mastercard for payment. We also accept CareCredit(see below for more information).
NWPAPEC is a privately-owned business and does not receive any government subsidies. The clinic is supported solely by the income it generates. Please understand that serious emergency conditions often require intensive testing and treatment, resulting in higher costs than the average routine care visit at your regular veterinarian's office.
CareCredit is a revolving line of credit designed for your pet's healthcare needs. With CareCredit, you pay no up-front costs, no pre-payment penalties, and no fees. To learn more, please visit the CareCredit website or talk to one of our staff members upon your arrival to our facility.
